About

For more than four years, I’ve been living in and exploring New York City, becoming more attached each day. In a city so vast and ever-changing, I can only attempt to make a dent in my mile-long list of restaurants to try, blocks to explore and events to check out. To add to that challenge, something new pops up every day.

While I can never be in a million places at once, I can shed light on those which I do have the opportunity to check off my list. With that in mind, I started this blog to document for myself and others the tastes, sights and sounds that the city has to offer. That being said, the other people and places I love will inevitably make an appearance as well.

    Hi –

I’m currently working with SeamlessWeb and noticed you were a fan, so I wanted to reach out and tell you more about their More Eat campaign coming up.

Please let me know and thanks!

  • Love you blog Virginia! Now that Ben and I are down in North Carolina, I love to read your posts and pretend that I’m still living up in my home town, NYC!! I just followed you on twitter, but through my company’s account, because I use that so much more regularly. Looking forward to hearing more of your reviews and musings on everything New York. Please feel free to check out my newest blog, that will accompany my new furniture store in Huntersville, NC! We hope to open in August. Next time you visit Davidson, come say hi!

I just found your blog Virginia and am fascinated to read it and find you writing on a subject that has fascinated you ever since I first knew you as a High School student! You made delicious cakes even then!!! If I come to NYC sometime I will use it as a restaurant guide.

I was the food editor at the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 20 years. Which department did you write for? And I’m also a gps grad!
